Hello lovely people who visit my webpage,
I will generally be writing more of these, documenting various projects and commissions, weddings and inspiration for work etc. etc., I’ve just been rather rubbish at it so far! My New Year’s resolution is to get this up and running, so you can all have a good nose at what I get up to in my world of photography, with sneak peaks into how I got there.
So, it’s 2012 already, in fact.. it’s February already (in 3 hours)! Which is terrifying, since I have assigned this year to do a lot of life changing things.. maybe. Might give that up for lent, or cheese.
Talking of 3′s, this time 3 years ago I had just started a small personal project on mycalled the “365 Project”, which is self explanatory, really.. 365 photos, 1 photo a day for 1 year.

I was living in Norway at the time, but was unexpectedly forced to move back to England around this time at the end of January 2009. The whole year was thrown into a bit of a spin for me, but I completed the project with a few accomplishments and continued to do another creatively disciplined project called “52 Weeks”.

Looking back I really do appreciate completing both of these projects as it lets me see how far I’ve come, day by day, week by week, in the form of a photographic diary. I really dipped into the art of photography, some days it was really personal to me and other days I barely had time to even think about it. These projects also helped build my knowledge of photography and light, organisation and planning, patience and grasping that “decisive moment” by the ankles, which has got me to where I am today.
That brings me to now, to 2012, to living in a little yellow end-of-terrace house in Chichester, West Sussex, to being a fully-fledged, self-employed Freelance Photographer.

What I want to know, is what the new year has brought you, and where did it scoop you up from?
Vi sees!
- Natalie
